The Floating Iceberg

Where will we go now after all the ice is melt?

Three penguin friends were waddling across the crunchy white snow of Antarctica.

Suddenly, a loud CRACK echoed through the air!

"Hey, did you hear that?" asked Jim, the youngest penguin, his feathers fluffing up with surprise.

"We sure did!" the other two penguins chirped. "Let's go find out what it was!"

They waddled as fast as their little flippers could carry them toward the big ice mountain. When they reached the top, they looked down at the ocean. A massive chunk of the iceberg had broken off and was floating away into the deep blue sea.

"Oh dear," sighed the oldest and wisest penguin, shaking his head. "It feels like our icy world is falling apart."

"It's happening again," Jim said softly, watching the ice drift away. "I remember learning about this. The Earth is getting a little too warm, and it's making the ice melt. If it stays this warm, our snowy home will keep shrinking."

"Is there anything we can do?" asked his friend.

"We need the humans on the rest of the planet to help," Jim explained. "They need to take better care of the air and pollution so the Earth can cool down."

The other penguins nodded their heads in agreement. They snuggled closer together, hoping their snowy home would stay safe and cold for a long, long time.
