Once upon a time, in the middle of a wide, sun-drenched savanna, lived a giant wild elephant. He was as big as a mountain, with ears like heavy blankets and feet that made the earth shake with every step.
The elephant was always crashing through trees and charging across the grass. Because he was so loud and stormy, all the other animals ran away whenever they heard his thunderous footsteps. They thought he was fierce, but the truth was, the big elephant was just lonely and easily startled. He didn't know how to be small or quiet, so he just stayed wild.
One day, a tiny, stripey tiger cub noticed the elephant sitting under a tall acacia tree, looking tired from all his crashing around. The other animals told the little tiger to run away, but the cub didn't feel like running.
Instead, the tiny tiger walked forward with quiet, soft steps. He didn't growl, and he didn't show his claws. He just climbed up the branches of the acacia tree, looked down, and gently hopped right onto the giant elephant.
The elephant froze. He expected the little creature to scratch, bite, or try to pull him around with ropes. But the tiny tiger did none of those things. He just sat there, warm and perfectly calm, looking out at the beautiful blue sky.
Slowly, the elephant felt the tiger’s peacefulness. His racing heart began to slow down. The heavy storm inside him faded away. He realized he didn't need to stomp or charge to feel safe; he just needed a friend to sit with him.
From that day on, the giant elephant wasn't wild with anger anymore. He became the gentlest giant in the savanna, carrying his tiny, brave friend everywhere he went. The other animals learned a big secret: you don't tame something wild by fighting it; sometimes, you just have to bring a little bit of calm to their big storm.
