Pip the monkey received a wonderful gift from his uncle: a parachute! He loved it instantly. "Now I can go anywhere I like!" he thought. So, he climbed to the top of a very tall tree. From there, he could see everything under the sun. "Wow, I'll go to the riverside," he decided. "Hey, there's a tiny creature down there! I'll go and show off my amazing parachute skills!"
Pip jumped from the treetop, clutching his parachute, and began to float through the sky. "Wow, this is fantastic!" he thought. "I feel like an angel flying!"
Soon, he was landing by the riverside. The tiny creature he'd seen from the tree was getting bigger and bigger. "Oh, it's a rhino! I'm doomed!" Pip thought, his eyes wide. He quickly closed them and began to pray for help.
Pip landed on a rough surface. When he opened his eyes, he found himself sitting on top of the big rhino! But the rhino hadn't noticed the monkey at all. It was peacefully grazing in the mountain valley.
Pip slowly, carefully, got down from the rhino and started running with his parachute in hand. He quickly climbed another tree. The rhino remained completely unaware of what had just happened.
Pip then began his journey home. He had to jump through many trees to reach his house, which was high up on the mountain.
Many years have passed. Pip still remembers his parachute adventure. He had children and grandchildren. He always had this advice to his children. "Seeing something from the sky can be deceptive," he taught them, and then told them all about his exciting, and slightly scary, parachute adventure.
