Lion And The Deer

The lion saw the deer, but the deer didn't see the lion.

"Hey there! I'm the king of the jungle, and you don't respect me?" asked the lion.

The deer turned around and finally saw the lion. He trembled with fear, staring back at the apex predator. At any moment, the lion could pounce.

Yet, the lion remained calm. Seeing this, the deer gradually began to relax.

"It's good for you that I'm not hungry. If I were hungry, I would have eaten you," said the lion.

The deer smiled softly at the lion. "I know, Your Majesty. I didn't see you, and by the time I did, it was already too late to run. I was expecting my death, but you spared me. I don't know how to thank you."

Without another word, the lion walked away into the forest.
