Deep in the rainforest, a Jaguar was prowling along the edge of a wide, rushing river. He wanted to get a better look at the fish splashing below, so he stepped closer and closer to the water.
The Jaguar just huffed. "I’m the fastest cat in the jungle," he bragged, ignoring the warning. "I don’t slip!"
WHOOSH!
Suddenly, his paws slid right out from under him. With a giant splash, the Jaguar tumbled into the deep, swirling water. The current was strong, and the Jaguar began to struggle.
Before he could go under, the Crocodile swam over in a flash. "Grab onto my back!" the Crocodile shouted.
The Jaguar climbed on, and the Crocodile steered him safely back to the dry grass. Shaking the water off his fur, the Jaguar looked at his scaly friend.
"Thanks for having my back," the Jaguar said sheepishly. "Next time, I’ll listen when you tell me it’s slippery!"
