Quit The Mosquitoes

The dog woke up from its daydreaming, hearing the sound of a frog crying. The dog was so annoyed by the frog’s cry that he wanted to get rid of the frog. The dog searched for the frog to finish him. The dog searched for the frog and found him behind a rock.

“Here you are! You are the creepy creature who destroyed my sleep. I am going to throw you away,” said the angry dog.

“I am sorry about that. But every night, you sleep well because of me,” said the frog.

“How can a silly frog help me?” the dog was anxious to learn how a frog could help him.

“I will tell you. Every night, we frogs are busy catching mosquitoes. If we are not there, no one will get a sound sleep during the night,” said the frog.

“Oh, I see. How do you catch a mosquito? Prove yourself,” challenged the dog.

“Just wait. Here one comes,” the frog put its long tongue out from its mouth like a soldier who drew his sword. The mosquito was stuck on its tongue, and the frog swallowed the mosquito right away. Everything happened so fast, and the dog was impressed by the frog.

“I am sorry to underestimate you. You, frogs, are really doing a good job for us to get sound sleep by getting rid of those pesty mosquitoes. We are very thankful for your silent service,” the dog appreciated the frog.

From that day onwards, the dog and the frog became friends.
