Horse And The Butterfly

Jack, the horse, was lonely on the ranch and had no friends. It was the last horse left on the farm. All his friends regularly participated in horse races.  Each time his friends left the ranch, Jack shed tears, cursing his crippled leg.

The reason why Jack was not taken for horseracing was due to a crippled leg. Its master believed that horses couldn’t participate in races because of that handicap.

One day, as the horse was alone on the ranch, it met a beautiful butterfly flying around.

“Hey, Jack, why are you looking sad?” asked the butterfly.

Jack shared his sad story with the butterfly and asked why he was rejected always.

The butterfly was moved by the sad story of the horse decided to help him.

The butterfly told Jack that it could prove its skills even with a crippled leg. The butterfly then asked Jack to run to the other end of the ranch and come back. Jack obeyed the butterfly and ran. Seeing the Jack running, its master came.

“Hey, look, I can’t believe it. How fast our Jack is running. I think the crippled leg is giving him a push, it’s not a handicap for him anymore,” the master said to his wife.

Soon, Jack was taken for a horserace. In that race, he was the winner. With just one race, Jack became a celebrity. Jack thanked the blue butterfly for its motivation and became the best horse on the ranch.
