Gorilla Love

Now you are ready to fly!

Deep in the leafy green jungle, a big, gentle gorilla was out for a morning stroll. Raindrops still glistened on the palm leaves, and the air smelled fresh and clean.

As the gorilla shuffled along, he heard a tiny, sad chirp coming from the mud: Pippp... pippp...

He crouched down and blinked his big, warm eyes. There, shivering underneath a fern, was a tiny blue songbird. Her feathers were soaked heavy from the rain, and every time she tried to flap her wings, she just fell right back over. She was far too wet to fly.

"Oh, little friend," the gorilla rumbled softly, his voice like a warm, purring engine.

Very carefully, he scooped up the muddy bird using his huge, furry hands, curling his fingers like a cozy nest. He cradled her close to his warm chest and marched straight back to his dry, leafy home.
