Freedom Is Not Always For Good

Lilly and Pip, two ducks, lived happily in a pond and loved each other very much.

One day, Pip told Lilly he wanted to explore the world. "Look, I have two wings; I can fly anywhere I like. I'm going to find greener pastures. I'm bored in this pond."

Lilly couldn't believe her ears. Pip, her best friend, was flying away for greener pastures. Lilly tried to convince him that their pond was the best place to live, with no predators and plenty of food. But Pip was determined to explore and flew away. Lilly could only watch him go, shedding tears.

Pip was happy to see the bright world below. He spotted a beautiful pond and decided to fly down. This pond was even better than the one he'd left. "I'm going to start a new life here," Pip told himself. But his happiness didn't last long. After a few days, a cunning fox visited him. The moment Pip saw the fox, he started to run. The fox chased him, but Pip somehow managed to fly away and escape.

Pip flew back to the pond where he had left Lilly. Lilly spotted Pip flying down from the sky and was overjoyed. She hugged Pip and welcomed him back.

"You were right, Lilly. This pond of ours is the best place to live," Pip said. Thereafter, the two ducks lived a happy life in their pond.
