
An elephant saw a red bird sitting on the ground.
"Hey, bird, I’ve been watching you," the elephant said. "Why don't you fly in the sky like the other birds?"
"I’m afraid of heights," the red bird replied. "When I fly high up in the sky, I feel like I'm going to die."
"That's so funny—a bird who is afraid of heights!" the elephant laughed. "Let me try to help you. Do one thing: try to fly up and sit on my shoulder."
The bird did exactly what the elephant asked. "Wow, you did it! Now look down. Do you feel afraid?" asked the elephant.
"Not exactly. I feel confident sitting on your back," said the bird.
"Now, try to fly upward. Whenever you feel uneasy, just land back on my shoulder," the elephant encouraged.
The bird began to practice. Several times, he returned to land on the elephant. However, after a few attempts, the bird gained his confidence. "Hey, bro! I can fly without fearing the heights anymore!" the bird chirped.
