Croc And The Hippo Story, Waiting For The Rain

A croc and a hippo lived in a lake, and they were good friends and had always been together in the water.

One fine morning, the crocodile saw a worried hippo.

“Hey, you look worried. What happened?” asked the concerned croc.

“I just heard a bad news. This time, the summer will be long. This lake will dry, and I have nowhere to cool my body,” said the hippo.

“Oh, that’s sad to hear. Summer affects everybody. But don’t overthink about it. Sometimes a rain will come in the middle of summer,” said the croc.

“Are you sure it will rain?” asked the doubtful hippo.

“I hope it will rain in the middle of the summer,” said the croc.

“Just hoping it won’t make it rain. We need to find a plan B for it,” said the hippo.

“What do you have in mind?” asked the Croc. The hippo and the corcodile stopped worrying about the rain, and started swimming around the lake.

“We have to search for another lake to shift our location. That’s the only thing I feel right to do now,” said the hippo.

Both the hippo and croc searched for another location. After searching far and wide, they found another lake with plenty of water. Let’s wait for a few days to see if it will rain. Otherwise, we’ll shift,” said the hippo. The croc agreed to Hippo’s suggestion.

After a few days, clouds appeared in the sky.

“Hey, look, the clouds are in the sky,” croc excitedly announced. The hippo was also excited. Soon, it was raining. Their lake was filled with water.

“Now, we need not worry about the summer. There is plenty of water we have now,” said the hippo. The hippo and the crocodile forgot their worries and swimmed around the lake.

Sometimes we worry for nothing. Just wait and watch after doing things we can do for our survival.
