Daisy the cow had finally done it. She had found a tiny gap in the fence and trotted away from the boring old farm. By noon, she reached the edge of a lush, deep-green forest.
"Wow!" Daisy whispered, her eyes wide. "This is exactly what I’ve been dreaming of!" She took a big bite of the wild clover. "This grass is way sweeter than that dry hay back home. I’m never leaving!"
"Uh, hey Daisy? What are you doing out here in the woods?"
Daisy spun around and saw her old pal, Milo the monkey. Milo lived in the trees near the farm and often dropped by to chat.
"Hi, Milo!" Daisy cheered. "I finally broke free! No more fences, no more farmers, and no more boring schedules for me. I’m moving in!"
Milo’s face went pale. He climbed down to a lower branch and looked around nervously. "Daisy, do you have any idea where you are? This isn't a playground—this is Tiger Territory."
Daisy stopped chewing. "Tigers?"
"Big ones," Milo whispered. "And they don't exactly eat grass. If a tiger finds you out here, you’re in big trouble."
Daisy’s legs began to wobble. The forest didn't look so magical anymore; it looked shadowy and scary. "Tigers? You know what, Milo? I think I suddenly miss my cozy stall and my safe, warm barn."
"Good call," said Milo. "The farm is the safest place on Earth for a cow like you."
Daisy didn't wait another second. She turned around and bolted back toward the farm, with Milo swinging through the trees right beside her. She never looked at that fence the same way again!
