Jino the Bear was the proudest train driver in the whole zoo. He loved his little steam locomotive, "The Zooming Zookeeper," more than anything. It was the fastest, shiniest train for miles! But before he could start the engine, Jino had a very important job to do.
He grabbed his special checklist. "First," he mumbled to himself, "check the water level!" He climbed up and peered into the big tank, making sure there was enough water to make the steam. "Check!" he said, ticking off the box. "Next, the coal!" He carefully shoveled shiny black lumps into the furnace, ready to heat the water and make the train go choo-choo!
Just as he finished, a cheerful red bird, Pip, fluttered down and landed on the train's big red headlight. "Hello, Mr. Jino!" Pip chirped. "I'm so excited for my trip to the end of the zoo! When do we depart?"
Jino gave a big, friendly smile. "Hello, Pip! We'll be leaving soon. I'm just waiting for a few more passengers to arrive. A train ride is always more fun when we have lots of friends aboard!"
Pip hopped happily from one foot to the other. "I'll go tell all my friends to hurry up!" he said, and with a quick flap of his wings, he zipped away.
Soon, a family of monkeys, a sleepy lion cub, and a giggling giraffe all climbed aboard. Jino rang the bell, and with a big puff of steam, "The Zooming Zookeeper" set off.
"Chugga-chugga, choo-choo!" it went, taking everyone on a wonderful journey to the very end of the zoo and back, with Jino the Bear at the wheel and Pip the bird leading the way!
