Give Me A Lift Please!

One sunny day, a big, friendly elephant named Ellie was trotting along. Suddenly, she saw her friend Mittu the monkey zipping by in his shiny little car! Ellie was so surprised to see Mittu, she stopped right in her tracks.

"Hey, Mittu!" trumpeted Ellie. "Can I please have a lift?"

Mittu looked at his small car and then at big Ellie. "Oh dear, Ellie," he said, "If you get in, my car might break! You're super big!" Ellie felt a little sad and slowly turned to go.

But then, SCREECH! Mittu's car bumped right into a big rock and skidded to the very edge of a tall, tall cliff! Oh no!

Ellie quickly saw what happened. She rushed over and, with her strong, powerful trunk, she carefully pulled Mittu's car back to safety. Phew!

Mittu was so happy and so thankful. "Thank you, thank you, Ellie!" he chattered. "You're so kind and strong!"

Ellie smiled a big elephant smile. She was happy too, because she could help her friend Mittu!
