A Friendly Deal

"Hey, bird," said a very friendly crocodile. "Will you clean my teeth for me?"

"What will I get if I clean your teeth?" asked the bird, a little unsure.

The crocodile grinned. "A whole buffet of yummy leftovers!" he explained. "Every time you pick my teeth, you get to keep all the delicious bits and pieces you find. It's a sweet deal for both of us!"

The bird, having a hearty appetite and tired of looking for seeds, decided to give it a try. He hopped inside the crocodile's huge mouth and started pecking away, cleaning every single tooth with care.

"Wow!" said the crocodile, feeling much better. "This is the cleanest my teeth have ever been! Thank you, bird!"

"You're welcome!" said the bird, tummy full and very happy. And from that day on, the crocodile and the bird were the best of friends, always helping each other out. And they always had the clean teeth and happy tummies in all the swamp!
