Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a cheerful bird. One day, the bird looked very sad, and its elephant friend noticed.
“Hey, why do you look so sad today?” asked the elephant gently.
The bird sighed and said, “I am sad because a woodcutter is planning to cut down the tree where I live.”
The elephant was shocked. “Oh, that’s terrible! Don’t worry, my friend. I will take care of the woodcutter.”
The next day, as the woodcutter arrived with his sharp axe, ready to cut down the tree, the elephant came up with a plan. Just as the woodcutter lifted his axe to strike, the elephant appeared from behind a big bush.
“Stop right there!” the elephant trumpeted loudly. The woodcutter was startled and dropped his axe in fear.
“How dare you cut down trees in our forest? These trees are our homes!” said the elephant firmly. “Shall I throw you out of the forest, or will you leave on your own?”
The woodcutter, trembling, said, “I’m sorry! I didn’t know. I promise I won’t return to this place again.”
With that, the woodcutter hurriedly picked up his axe and ran away, never to return.
The bird was overjoyed and flew down to its elephant friend. “Thank you so much! You saved my home!”
The elephant smiled and said, “That’s what friends are for. We’ll always look out for each other.”
And so, the bird and the elephant lived happily in the forest, surrounded by their friends and the beautiful trees that made their home special. They made sure to protect their forest and teach others to do the same.
From then on, the forest was a safe and happy place for all the animals, and they all knew that with friends like the elephant, they had nothing to fear.
