Cow And The Tiger

The first thing the tiger noticed after entering the village was a cow grazing in the meadows. “Um, this is a great opportunity, I should not miss it,” thought the tiger.

The tiger came near to the cow.

“Hello, Ms. I hope I am not disturbing you,” said the tiger in a feeble voice. The tiger knew that if the villagers came to know about his presence, then his life was in danger.

“Hello there, who are you? I have never seen you here?” said the cow.

“I am a tiger. I come from the jungle. I visit the village often.  Today, I am here with a special mission. I take animals like you for a jungle safari. It would be an unforgettable experience. If you are interested, please let me know.

“Hey, please let me know what is in the jungle that’s not here?” asked the cow.

“There are many good things in the jungle. Large meadows growing sweet grass, rivers flowing with sweet water, and many other things you have never experienced in your life,” said the tiger.

The cow was almost ready to go with the tiger when its mother saw the tiger talking to her daughter.

She came running to her daughter.

“Please don’t go with that tiger. He is bad, and trying to lure you to go with him, so that he can kill you and eat you,” said the cow’s mother, and started crying for help. Hearing the cow’s cry, villagers came running, pelting stones at the tiger. The tiger ran away from the village.

“Thank you, Mother, for saving my life,” said the cow.  “Daughter, you don’t know how cruel the world is. Next time somebody invites you, just turn away that invite. I am telling for your good,” the cow’s mother said.

“Sure, mother. I know how alert I should be,” said the cow.
